Life Ain't Always Beautiful Gary Allen
Life ain't always beautiful Sometimes it's just plain hard Life can knock you down, it can break your heart
Life ain't always beautiful You think you're on your way And it's just a dead end road at the end of the day
But the struggle makes you stronger And the changes make you wise And happiness has it's own way of takin' it sweet time
[chorus] No,life aint always beautiful Tears will fall sometimes Life aint always beautiful But it's a beautiful ride
Life aint always beautiful Some days I miss your smile I get tired of walkin' all these lonely miles
And I wish for just one minute I could see your pretty face Guess I can dream, but life dont work that way
But the struggles makes me stronger And the changes make me wise And happiness has it's own way of takin' its sweet time
No, life aint always beautiful But I know I'll be fine Hey, life aint always beautiful But its a beautiful ride What a beautiful ride

I Don't Even Know Your Name Alan Jackson
Well I was sitting in a roadhouse down on highway 41 You were wiping off some ketchup on a table that was done I know you didn't see me, I was in a corner booth Of course you weren't my waitress mine was missing her front tooth So I flagged you down for coffee But I couldn't say a thing But I'm in love with you baby and I don't even know your name
I'm in love with you baby, I don't even know your name I've never been to good at all these sexual games So maybe it's just better if we leave it this way I'm in love with you baby and I don't even know your name
So I ordered straight tequila, a little courage in a shot I asked you for a date and then I asked to tie the knot I got a little wasted, yeah I went a little far But I finally got to hug you when you helped me to my car The last thing I remember I heard myself say I'm in love with you baby, I don't even know your name
I'm in love with you baby, I don't even know your name I've never been to good at all these sexual games So maybe it's just better if we leave it this way I'm in love with you baby and I don't even know your name
The next thing I remember, I was hearing wedding bells Standing by a woman in a long white lacy veil I raised the veil, she smiled at me without her left front tooth And I said 'Where the hell am I and just who the hell are you?' She said 'I was your waitress and our last name's now the same' 'Cause I'm married to you baby and I don't even know your name
I'm married to a waitress, I don't even know her name I've never been to good at all these sexual games I never thought my love life would quite turn out this way Hey I'm married to a waitress and I don't even know her name

Pictures of Success Lyrics By Rilo Kiley
build your own television receiver staying home can't be that bad for me cause i'm not scared but i'd like some extra spare time easily earn me big money
i'm a modern girl but i fold in half so easily when i put myself in the picture of success i could learn world trade or try to map the ocean
when you're dead in hospitals and freeways when you're dead in resting homes and clinics when you're dead it must be nice to finish when you're dead
i've had it with you and mexico can fucking wait and all of those french films about trains cause i'm not scared but i'd like some extra spare time i'm not scared but the bills keep changing colors
when you're dead in hospitals and freeways when you're dead in dress shirts and neckties when you're dead in apartments and on beaches when you're dead
they say california is a recipe for a black hole and i say i've got my best shoes on i'm ready to go (ready to go) ready to go (x2)
i'm ready to go ready to go (x3)
i'm ready to go ready to go (x3)
i'm ready to go ready to go (x3)
i'm ready to go
these are times that can't be weathered and we have never been back there since then (x4)

Christina Aguilera - Singing My Song
I woke up this morning with a smile on my face And nobody's gonna bring me down today Been feeling like nothing's been going my way lately i decided right here, right now, that my outlook's gonna change That's why i'm gonna Say goodbye to all the tears i've cried Every time somebody hurt my pride Feelin' like they won't let me live life And take the time to look at what is mine i see every blessing so clearly, and i thank god for what i got from above
Chorus:i believe they can take anything from me but they can't succeed in taking my inner peace from me they can say all they wanna say, about me, but i'm i'm gonna carry on, i'mma keep on singin' my song
i never wanna dwell on the pain again, There's no use in relivin' how i hurt back then, Rememberin' too well the hell i felt when i was runnin' out of faith Every step i'm 'bout to take well it's towards a better day cause i'm about to say farewell to every single lie And all the fears i've held too long inside Every time i felt i couldn't try, All the negativity and strife cause too long, i've been strugglin' couldn't go on But now i've found i'm feelin' strong and i'm moving on
Chorus
Every time i tried to be what they wanted from me It never came naturally, So i ended up in misery was unable to see all the good around me Wasting so much energy on what they thought of me and simply just rememberin' to breathe, I'm humanly unable to please everyone at the same time So now i find my peace of mind living one day at a time
In the end i answer to one god, comes down to one love Till i get to heaven above I have made a decision never to give in Till the day i die no matter what I'm gonna carry on, i'mma keep on singin' my song ( They can do what they wanna say what they wanna say But I'm gonna keep on I believe that they can take from me but they cant take my inner peace!

Chasing Cars Snow Patrol
We'll do it all Everything On our own
We don't need Anything Or anyone
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
I don't quite know How to say How I feel
Those three words Are said too much They're not enough
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told Before we get too old Show me a garden that's bursting into life
Let's waste time Chasing cars Around our heads
I need your grace To remind me To find my own
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told Before we get too old Show me a garden that's bursting into life
All that I am All that I ever was Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see
I don't know where Confused about how as well Just know that these things will never change for us at all
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

This song reminds me of someone who is not really a good person, but he's family so I care about what happens to him...every time I hear this song it makes me think about how badly things could still go with him... How To Save A Life Artist: The Fray Album: How To Save A Life
Step one you say we need to talk He walks you say sit down it's just a talk He smiles politely back at you You stare politely right on through Some sort of window to your right As he goes left and you stay right Between the lines of fear and blame And you begin to wonder why you came
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend Somewhere along in the bitterness And I would have stayed up with you all night Had I known how to save a life
Let him know that you know best Cause after all you do know best Try to slip past his defense Without granting innocence Lay down a list of what is wrong The things you've told him all along And pray to God he hears you And pray to God he hears you
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend Somewhere along in the bitterness And I would have stayed up with you all night Had I known how to save a life
As he begins to raise his voice You lower yours and grant him one last choice Drive until you lose the road Or break with the ones you've followed He will do one of two things He will admit to everything Or he'll say he's just not the same And you'll begin to wonder why you came
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend Somewhere along in the bitterness And I would have stayed up with you all night Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life How to save a life
Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend Somewhere along in the bitterness And I would have stayed up with you all night Had I known how to save a life
How to save a life

Suddenly I See K.T.Tunstall
Her face is a map of the world Is a map of the world You can see she's a beautiful girl She's a beautiful girl And everything around her is a silver pool of light The people who surround her feel the benefit of it It makes you calm She holds you captivated in her palm
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see) This is what I wanna be Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see) Why the hell it means so much to me
I feel like walking the world Like walking the world You can hear she's a beautiful girl She's a beautiful girl She fills up every corner like she's born in black and white Makes you feel warmer when you're trying to remember What you heard She likes to leave you hanging on her word
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see) This is what I wanna be Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see) Why the hell it means so much to me
And she's taller than most And she's looking at me I can see her eyes looking from a page in a magazine Oh she makes me feel like I could be a tower A big strong tower She got the power to be The power to give The power to see
Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see) This is what I wanna be Suddenly I see (Suddenly I see) Why the hell it means so much to me

All I Ask Of You Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera
No more talk of darkness Forget these wide eyed fears I'm here, nothing can harm you My words will warm and calm you
Let me be your freedom Let daylight dry your tears I'm here, with you, beside you To guard you and to guide you
Say you love me ev'ry waking moment Turn my head with talk of summertime Say you need me with you, now and always Promise me that all you say is true That's all I ask of you
Let me be your shelter Let me be your light You're safe, no one will find you Your fears are far behind me
All I want is freedom A world with no more night And you, always beside me To hold me and to hide me
And say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime Say the word and I will follow Share each day with you, each night, each morning Say you love me (You know I do) Love me That's all I ask of you
Anywhere you go, let me go too Love me That's all I ask of you

SISTER HAZEL Change Your Mind
Hey, Hey Did you ever think There might be another way To just feel better, Just feel better about today
Oh no- If you never want to have To turn and go away You might feel better, Might feel better if you stay
Pre-chorus Yeah yeah I bet you haven't heard A word I've said Yeah yeah If you've had enough Of all your tryin' Just give up The state of mind you're in
Chorus If you want to be somebody else, If you're tired of fighting battles with yourself If you want to be somebody else Change your mind...
Hey hey- Have you ever danced in the rain Or thanked the sun Just for shining- just for shining Or the sea? Oh no- take it all in The world's a show And yeah, you look much better, Look much better when you glow
Pre-chorus/chorus
Hey hey- what ya say We both go and seize the day 'cause what's your hurry what's your hurry anyway
Pre-chorus/chorus

Feeling a tad nostalgic lately, so here's a song to match it. I realized suddenly how much my life has changed since my high school graduation when I was listening to this song this morning--and I'm not even 25 yet!
Graduation by Vitamin C
And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives Where we're gonna be when we turn 25 I keep thinking times will never change Keep on thinking things will always be the same But when we leave this year we won't be coming back No more hanging out cause we're on a different track And if you got something that you need to say You better say it right now cause you don't have another day Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down These memories are playing like a film without sound And I keep thinking of the night in June I Didn't know much of love, but it came too soon And There was me and you, and then it got real blue Stay at home talkin' on the telephone and We would get so excited, we'd get so scared Laughing at our selves thinking life's not fair And this is how it feels
Chorus: As we go on, we remember All the times we had together And as our lives change, from whatever We will still be, friends forever
So if we get the big jobs and we make the big money When we look back now, will that joke still be funny? Will we still remember everything we learned in school? Still be trying to break every single rule Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man? Can Heather find a job that won't interfere with her tan? I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye Keep on thinking it's a time to fly And this is how it feels
*Repeat chorus*
We will still be friends forever
Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now? Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow? I guess I thought that this would never end And suddenly it's like we're women and men Will the past be a shadow that will follow us round? Will these memories fade when I leave this town I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye Keep on thinking it's a time to fly
*Repeat chorus 3x*

Breathe No More Evanesence
Ive been looking in the mirror for so long. That Ive come to believe my souls on the other side. Oh the little pieces falling, shatter. Shards of me, Too sharp to put back together. Too small to matter, But big enough to cut me into so many little pieces. If I try to touch her, And I bleed, I bleed, And I breathe, I breathe no more.
Take a breath and I try to draw from my spirits well. Yet again you refuse to drink like a stubborn child. Lie to me, Convince me that Ive been sick forever. And all of this, Will make sense when I get better. I know the difference, Between myself and my reflection. I just cant help but to wonder, Which of us do you love. So I bleed, I bleed, And I breathe, I breathe now... Bleed, I bleed, And I breathe, I breathe, I breathe- I breathe no more.
[piano solo ending]

Artist: The Fray Album: How To Save A Life Year: 2005 Title: Little House
She doesn't look, she doesn't see Opens up for nobody Figures out, she figures out Narrow line, she can't decide Everything short of suicide Never hurts, nearly works
Something is scratching its way out Something you want to forget about
A part of you that'll never show You're the only one that'll ever know Take it back when it all began Take your time, would you understand What it's all about
Something is scratching its way out Something you want to forget about No one expects you to get up All on your own with no one around

World Five for Fighting
Got a package full of wishes A time machine, a magic wand A globe made out of gold No instructions or commandments, Laws of gravity or indecisions to uphold Printed on the box I see ‘Acme’s Build a World to Be’ Take a chance, grab a piece Help me to believe it
What kind of world do you want Think anything Let’s start at the start Build a masterpiece Be careful what you wish for History starts now
Should build people or peoples Money, funny pedestals For fools who never pay Raise your army, choose your steeple Don’t be shy, the satellites can look the other way Lose the earthquakes, keep the faults Fill the oceans without the salt But every man, on his own Hey, can you dig it baby?
What kind of world do you want Think anything Let’s start at the start Build a masterpiece Be careful what you wish for History starts now
Sunlight’s on the bridge Sunlight’s on the way Tomorrow’s calling There’s more to this than love
What kind of world do you want (x3) Think anything Build a masterpiece History starts now Starts now Be careful what you wish for
Start now Now...

Ordinary Miracle Sarah McLachlan
It's not that unusual When everything is beautiful It's just another ordinary miracle today The sky knows when it's time to snow Don't need to teach a seed to grow It's just another ordinary miracle today
Life is like a gift they say Wrapped up for you everyday Open up and find a way To give some of your own
Isn't it remarkable? Like every time a raindrop falls It's just another ordinary miracle today Birds in winter have their fling But always make it home by spring It's just another ordinary miracle today
When you wake up everyday Please don't throw your dreams away Hold them close to your heart 'Cause we are all a part Of the Ordinary Miracle Ordinary Miracle Do you want to see a miracle?
It seems so exceptional That things just work out after all It's just another ordinary miracle today The sun comes up and shines so bright And disappears again at night It's just another ordinary miracle today
It's just another ordinary miracle today
It's just another ordinary miracle today

Nothing Left To Lose Mat Kearney
Something's in the air tonight The sky's alive with a burning light You can mark my words something's about to break
And I found myself in a bitter fight While I've held your hand through the darkest night Don't know where you're coming from but you're coming soon
To a kid from Oregon by way of California All of this is more than I've ever known or seen
Come on and we'll sing, like we were free Push the pedal down watch the world around fly by us Come on and we'll try, one last time I'm off the floor one more time to find you And here we go there's nothing left to choose And here we go there's nothing left to lose
So I packed my car and I headed east Where I felt your fire and a sweet release There's a fire in these hills that's coming down And I don't know much but I found you here And I can not wait another year Don't know where you're coming from but you're coming soon
To a kid from Oregon by way of California All of this is more than I've ever known or seen
Come on and we'll sing, like we were free Push the pedal down watch the world around fly by us Come on and we'll try, one last time I'm off the floor one more time to find you And here we go there's nothing left to choose And here we go there's nothing left to lose I can still hear the trains out my window From Hobart Street to here in Nashville I can still smell the pomegranates grow And I don't know how hard this wind will blow Or where we'll go
Come on and we'll sing, like we were free Push the pedal down watch the world around fly by us Come on and we'll try, one last time I'm off the floor one more time to find you And here we go there's nothing left to choose And here we go there's nothing left to lose
