According to IMdB.com:
"Rebecca Romijn's new TV show Pepper Dennis and Pamela Anderson's sitcom Stacked are two of the casualties in one of US TV's most ruthless cutbacks. The two shows join a long list of programs that will not return this autumn for new series on their respective networks. In Pepper Dennis, Romijn played an unlucky in love reporter, while Anderson was praised for her role as a busty bookstore employee. Also cancelled, according to top US magazine TV Guide, are long-running comedy The Bernie Mac Show, Jenna Elfman's Courting Alex, doomed Friends spin-off Joey and cult drama Everwood."

Looks like the ground-breaking popular show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy has reached the chopping block. By all accounts, the show will be cancelled after it's three season run.

Studio 60 About to Get Deep-Sixed? "NBC is about to cancel Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, one of the most hyped shows of the fall season, FoxNews.com columnist Roger Friedman reported Sunday, citing unnamed insiders. Although the network announced last week that it had ordered three additional scripts, and top executives continued to praise the quality of the show, cast members have reportedly told friends that cancellation is imminent, the cable news network said. Ratings for the show, from producer-writer Aaron Sorkin, continue to slide, with last week's audience tallied at 7.7 million versus 17.5 million for CBS's CSI: Miami in the same time period. Fox said that the show will likely be replaced with a reality series or game show." - from IMdB.com

Good. For some reason, I keep watching the show and while I enjoy Matthew Perry's character and hope nothing but the best for him, I am happy that I will be free of the show. I know, why do I watch it if I want it cancelled? I wanted it to be good and I keep watching it with hope that it is, but I have been sorely disappointed. And I am happy when a show is canceled, because it means less television watching for me. I could use that. LOL

Bye bye to The O.C.:
"Beloved teen soap The O.C. has been canceled due to falling ratings following actress Mischa Barton's decision to quit the show. The once hit series joins former Will & Grace star Megan Mullally's new chat show as the first TV casualties of the new year in America. Mullally's much-criticized show will end immediately, while The O.C. will see out its current season. The final episode of the series will air on February 22. In a statement released yesterday, The O.C. creator Josh Schwartz said, "It has been an amazing experience and a great run. For a certain audience, at a certain time, The O.C. has meant something. For that we are grateful." - IMDb.com

Studio on the Sunset Strip is officially on the chopping block:
From imdb.com: "Marking the end of one of the greatest debacles in its history, NBC is expected to disclose during its upfront season presentation on Monday that it has canceled Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, the centerpiece of its presentation one year ago and a show that had reportedly cost it an enormous $3 million per episode -- or nearly $100 million over the past year (when marketing and other costs are reckoned). The series, from The West Wing's Aaron Sorkin, which amounted to a backstage look at a kind of Saturday Night Live show, had struggled in the ratings almost from the outset and had received mixed notices from critics. Nevertheless, until recently, NBC executives had voiced their support for it. NBC President Kevin Reilly insisted that he was a fan of the show and that it deserved time to find a larger audience. Meanwhile, the network has reportedly ordered five new hours of dramatic shows for next season, including a revival of the '70s series, The Bionic Woman. Further details are expected to be provided on Monday."
