Yo yo yo yooooooooo!!!! What's poppin' yo!! This is the Ninth edition of the G-Pop Network, the hottest website on the Internet today. This is the new shit and we are taking over. What's on tap:
Badseed takes a major stab at wrestling and why, not only do the shows suck, but so do those writing about them. This is a hard hitting truth that needs to be told. Check it out at www.g-pop.net/badseed330_Suck.htm
The newest tag-team at G-Pop hits you off with another edition of DrayvensCrow's DVD Dish. This week, DrayvensCrow looks at the Wrestling Gold series, the hardcore wrestling fan's best friend. Taking a look at the matches that paved the way for the explosive million dollar empire that has taken over the world, Wrestling Gold features Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels and others before they became the huge stars of today. Go to www.g-pop.net/WrestlingGold.htm for more.
Birds of Prey!!! Wow. Remember that show. Yeah, I sat down anxiously awaiting every episode and after that one week, I was disappointed to learn the show was cancelled (I am just playing with you all), but Birds of Prey lives on in the comic book form and I know all you readers out there just happen to come from a certain message board that loves the show, still after all these years. This is your chance to learn about what made the comic book such a success, that the series was created. Go to www.g-pop.net/bop.htm Yep, B-O-P at G-P-O-P. I love it.
Gphoria!!! Finally, an award show for video games that truly mattered. Remember that atrocity called SPike TV's Video Game Awards. Oh yeah, makes you want to have sex with a bed of rusty nails, right? Well, Gphoria was so much better. Look past the Black Eyed Peas' Fergie being flatter than a member of TLC. Forget Tony Yayo barely rapping and stepping back as 50 Cent made him his shadow without even being in the room. It was the awards that mattered and the game exclusives. This show had it all. It was a geek's wet dream come true. Check out the review at www.g-pop.net/tech.htm
Whoohoo. Ice Princess. I can't wait to go out and rent this movie. Yes!!! Nothing like Ice Skaters from a Disney film boring the shit out of me with positive drivel that makes me want to have sex with a dirty slut just to end my life a little earlier so I never have to get stuck seeing this movie on ABC Family over and over and over again. But Justine Manzano liked it and isn't that all that matters (I love you sis). Check out her review at www.g-pop.net/iceprincess.htm. Then get a dose of some hate with my soundtrack review. Go to www.g-pop.net/ice_sound.htm
Some people like Ice Princess. Some. Some people like Sin City. Thank god for Ismael Manzano who gets rid of the sugar and spice with a little dash of blood and carnage. This movie changed the way movies should be made. I can't wait to see the first knockoff. THis is the first and one of the best adaptations of a comic book ever. Check it out at www.g-pop.net/SinCity.htm
RPM is not only hot hot hot, she can sing sing sing. HEHE. Anyways, her latest CD is reviewed by Talon Karrde, a vocal supporter of RPM since back in the day of YBFREE. Our site may have changed, but our tastes remain the same. Good music that rocks cannot be replaced. Go check out the review at www.g-pop.net/RPM.htm and then check out her site and tell her we sent you.
Last week, it was Firefly, this week we take a look at another DVD set focusing on a show that was ended before its time. Rowena Kemp makes up proud with a great review of Earth 2. Go to www.g-pop.net/earth2.htm
Finally, I hit you off with one of the hottest columns on the Internet. Dating back a number of years, I have written a column attacking everything in society, but also letting you into my life and in this issue, we take a look at my high school graduation and what it meant to leave my school behind. It's a funny look at the women I left behind and the things they did to keep me there. Go to www.g-pop.net/Minners45_Goodbye.htm
Well, that's all people. Check out the site. Tell us what you think. Join the network. Bring a friend. Peace
