Hey yo! Welcome to the G-Pop Network. This week's episode showcases a number of great new articles; something for everyone to enjoy.
First, me, yours truly, Jon Minners hits you with my first column for G-Pop. This column thanks Michael Jackson, discusses pedophilia, disses the pope, discusses people's strange need to complain about the weather, mocks people's strange views about tragedies and also takes the time to thank those special people in my life who helped me make G-Pop a reality. Go to www.g-pop.net/Minners42_New.htm
Second, my alter ego, Badseed has written a new column about the ECW PPV, the draft lottery and the future of ECW and the WWE. Take a look at www.g-pop.net/Badseed323_ECW.htm
Talon Karrde takes a second look at Nadjiwan, reviewing their latest CD Begin at
www.g-pop.net/NadjiwanBegin.htm
We all miss Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was a great show and some people are keeping it alive via the Internet and message boards similar to this great one you are viewing now. Justine Manzano looks at one such board at www.g-pop.net/Buffy_Boards.htm
I love Hip Hop and had the chance to read a great book about the genre by Jeff Chang. The book, Can't Stop, Won't Stop: A History of the Hip Hop Generation was one of my favorite books on the subject and in addition to a review, I also interviewed the author and took a look at his website. The Hip Hop feature can be examined at www.g-pop.net/Generation.htm
Don't movies suck as of late. I mean, we have Dukes of Hazard coming out. There was Starsky and Hutch. Then they remade House of Wax. Oooh, that was bad. We also can't let well enough alone and if one movie does good, you better believe part two will be made the next day. They don't even give it time until they build a quality script. Well, Talon Karrde lets her feelings be known on the Remake, Sequel, Prequel (did we need two Exorcist prequels, let alone one?). Her rant can be seen at the following link:

Ok, so there is another John Minners who writes for this site when he gets the chance. My pops. See, he is a good writer who remembers a time before Internet when cavemen would hit stone with slammy object to make sounds that means time to pull girl by hair and make baby. HAHA. Well, he's not really that old, but morse code and ham radios were his thing. He made satelites using Tinker Toys when I was a kid and would reach people all over the world. In his article, Hamming It Up, he discussed the pre-Internet communication system and how it is far from obsolete today. Go to:
www.g-pop.net/HammingItUp.htm
Finally, Ismael Manzano gets his g popped (haha) for the very first time with his first story, a review of the book Elsewhere. If you like fantasy and science fiction, this may be the book for you. Find out by checking out www.g-pop.net/elsewhere.htm
Of course, you can look at our archives, go to the message board, post ideas and comments, critique us and do whatever else you would like in the realm of reason. We look forward to seeing you all again. Go to www.g-pop.net for more. Peace
