Antigone Rising UPCOMING SHOWS ANTIGONE RISING FEATURING SHANNON MCNALLY SATURDAY - 05.02.09 New York, NY SULLIVAN HALL 214 Sullivan St. (between Bleecker and W. 3rd) SHOW STARTS 8PM SHARP (no opener) 18+ to enter, 21 to drink To order tix. by phone, call: (866) 468-7619 Hi everyone! It's official. The band is BACK! Kristen's son and daughter were born this past February. Everyone is happy and healthy (thank you to those who've sent gifts, emails and posts)! Now that the babies have arrived safely, the band is gearing up to get back to what we love doing... Kristen, Cathy, Jen and Dena will be joined by Shannon McNally on lead vocals and guitar for a great night of music in New York City at Sullivan Hall on Saturday night, May 2nd! We got such a great reaction to our show last December featuring Shannon that we're doing it AGAIN. If you couldn't make it out the first time, or loved it so much you need to see it again, we're coming back for another night in New York City! We need as much support and feedback as we can get, so please come out if you can and let us know what you think! If you haven't had a chance to see any of the video clips from the last show (Dec. 18, 2008), be sure to check out the following links: AR Feat. Shannon McNally - Comfortably Numb AR Feat. Shannon McNally - Weed & Wine Antigone Rising to Feature Shannon McNally 05.02.09 - NEW YORK CITY!Over the past few months we've begun a really great friendship with singer/songwriter Shannon McNally. Many of you may know her from her years on Capitol Records. We know her from years on the road traveling in similar circles, and as of late our friendship has turned more collaborative. Shannon is originally from Long Island, NY so her roots are based in familiar territory, though she now claims her home down south in Mississippi. It reflects in her cool vocal style and guitar playing. We're putting together (for the 2nd time) a great show of music with Shannon, including Antigone songs you'll know, a few Shannon McNally originals from past recordings, and hopefully 1 or 2 originals we're working on together! To find out more about Shannon McNally, read this great review of her 2005 Capitol Records release, Geronimo, that ran in Rolling Stone Magazine. Also learn more about Shannon on her websites: Shannon McNally Official SiteShannon McNally on Myspace Looking forward to seeing you all on May 2nd! -Kristen, Cathy, Dena, Jen & Shannon

The Soles Hey! The exclamation-marked 'Hey' is becuase YOU have been so helpfull in helping to get The Soles on tour this summer. We have raised just over $1000 of the $2000 we need. So I have added more artworks to the sale. Check it out here: www.dinarts.com/DINARTS_SOLESTOUR_FUNDRAISER_SALE.htm This sale will end July 1, so if you've ever wanted an artwork of mine, now is the time to get it REALLY CHEAP. Like CHEAPER THAN PRINTS! So I know people buy prints for their homes etc., BUT if invest in an artwork for a similar price and it will ONLY INCREASE IN VALUE over time. Sell it down the road when the Soles are bigger and better than U2 At the bottom of the page you'll see how all the money is being spent. With gratitude, Din, The Soles P.S. we have two upcoming LIVE shows: 1. This Saturday April 11 at Liberty Bistro 2. Friday April 24 at Blue Moon

The Cassidy Project Newsletter " Summer HiatusWell friends, the time has come for me to bury myself deep into the creative process, hopefully to emerge again with an album of songs I can be proud of. In order to give this next phase the focus it deserves, I will be taking some time off from playing shows, apart from maybe the occasional acoustic performance. The Canal Room show on May 12th will be our last one for awhile. Please keep checking the website CassidyProject.com for video blogs of the process, as well as Twitter, Myspace and Facebook. I'll be appearing this Summer with Rob Thomas on The View, Today Show, and Letterman singing in his band. All info will available on my site. We're still producing my musical and I continue to write the book about my decade in AR. I also plan to be on Broadway this year, so do keep checking in because I expect to have much news throughout. We will not be sending out these mass emails for a while however. If you can donate to the recording I could still really use the help. Info on how to do that is available here and at CassidyProject.com. And if you can make it on the 12th...you should Thank you again for the support you have shown for Cassidy Project. When I left AR last year I was terrified and playing gigs whether I was ready or not was the only way I knew how to feel alive. Your love and generosity carried me through those shaky days, (and shows!) and as a result I now find myself in total communion with that small artistic voice that I feared I'd lost. With love and thanks, Cassidy Upcoming Shows May 12th @ Canal Room 285 W Broadway New York, NY 8pm Cassidy Project FINAL PERFORMANCE OF THE SUMMER. Urusen News "Hi there, please can you pass this on to the rest of your members if you think they’ll be interested. We playing at Larmer Tree Festival this year and have two tickets to give away, so we’re running a little comp. Not going to be a huge amount of entries me thinks, so a high chance of winning. All people have to do is: QUESTION: What is the last line of the song currently at the top of our myspace player? You can enter once a day, but we’ll change the track every day too. To enter, send your answer to contact@urusen.co.uk Simple eh? In order to be all official about it we have put some terms and conditions on our myspace blog, but other than that, its pretty much it, except that we’ll give away some of our albums as runner up prizes. www.larmertreefestival.co.ukOh, we’ll draw from the hat on the 4th July, 2 weeks before the festival. All the best URUSEN"

Antigone Rising Newsletter UPCOMING SHOWS 08.29.09 - West Sayville, NY - LI Maritime Festival 09.10.09 - Northampton, MA - The Iron Horse 09.11.09 - Philadelphia, PA - The Tin Angel 09.12.09 - New York, NY - The Bitter End "Hi Everyone! A note from Kristen of Antigone Rising... It's FINALLY NICE OUT in New York after a rainy June. I'm glad for the sun and even more glad that we've got DATES on the books, so please take the time to catch up with Antigone! We did a few shows with The Bangles in late May as a foursome with Nini Camps on vocals and ME on bass. The dates went so well that The Bangles gave us a shout out in a CNN.com interview & there are plans in the works to play together again. We've never really done shows with another ALL female band, so it was a really good time. If you haven't seen Nini Camps sit in with us yet, she was on slide guitar for dates we played with Shannon McNally, and she even sat in with Cass and me for acoustic versions of various songs at The Bitter End back in January, '08. We took her initiation into the band to a new level by chucking her under the hot lights on lead vocals for our dates with The Bangles - no pressure - and for lack of a better term, she passed the audition! So when the promoters from Northampton, MA (Calvin Theater/Iron Horse) immediately offered us a follow up date in the market we figured we're onto something here...we took the date and booked a few more for good measure! If you can't make it to one of the upcoming shows, fret not. I plan on documenting the next few months via blogs, twitter and video posts - so you can keep up with the evolution at Antigone Rising.com! WE POSTED A VIDEO TAKEN DURING SOUND CHECK FROM OUR DATE WITH THE BANGLES AT THE CALVIN THEATER ON 05.29.09 Follow us on TWITTER! We are now up and running on TWITTER! Follow along as I post away on all the band is up to, and all that I'm up to from raising the babies to learning the bass to writing a book for Simon & Schuster! That's right! For those of you who did not see the article in Real Simple Magazine (May issue), my partner Sarah and I both conceived babies on the same day last May, 2008. Subsequently, we gave birth to our son and daughter this past February, 2009. Free Press, a division of Simon & Schuster, found the story so interesting that they've signed us to a BOOK DEAL! The book will be out in March, 2011 - and you can follow along as I document the whole book writing process via my blog and TWITTER! I know some of you are saying "I DON'T DO TWITTER!" And yes, you have every reason to blame it for the degeneration of our society's communication skills. But once you get passed the 140 character maximum rule, you will see that it is a really fun and convenient way to keep up with me, at the very least, as well as your other artists you may really like! You don't have to actually TWEET yourself. You can just follow people you're interested in. It's like reading the scroll at the bottom of the news screen. Headlines all day long on your favorite artists, friends, Presidents (yes, Obama tweets!), etc. And if tweeting is just way more than you can bare, check out my blog instead. I'll be keeping everyone up to date on all we're up to there! The next newsletter will be chock full of specific details on all our upcoming events. Until then, see you in the twittersphere and blogoshere! Kristen : ) PS-Be sure to check out Dena in the September issue of Modern Drummer Magazine - on newsstands this August!"

The Lonely HThe Lonely H's "The Singer" video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fzov9VGSWISeattle, Washington-based quartet The Lonely H have released a video for their first single off of "Concrete Class", entitled "The Singer". The video is available on YouTube at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fzov9VGSWI. It was Directed by "Benjamin Kasulke". The band is currently on the road supporting "Concrete Class". There is nothing ordinary about The Lonely H. And, if you haven't heard "Concrete Class" yet, well, you should give it a spin. Fronted by the charismatic, 6'7", 19 year old Mark Fredson, a man hard to miss in any room for both his height and booming voice, and accompanied by the Brothers Whitman - Eric Whitman (guitar) and Johnny Whitman (bass) - and drummer Ben Eyestone, The Lonely H not only look the part, but their sound is as authentic as it comes. "Those pants are tight, but they ain't too tight, brother." With worn out boots and starry eyes, The Lonely H return from the road bearing one thing: "Concrete Class." After 200 plus shows in 2008, these knights-in-shining-denim have seen their share of hardwood floors, hopeless drunks, and enough roadkill to feed Detroit. And on top of that, three out the four can't legally hit happy hour, yet. Following up their debut, 2006's "Kick Upstairs" and 2007's "Hair", both on The Control Group, "Concrete Class" reels with the rawness of Bob Seger's blue collar howl, and rolls with the purity of a "Tequila Sunrise." But, it doesn't end there -- these 12 tracks were recorded and mixed on miles of analog tape, sweat with the heart and honesty to match. Bearing melodies that pump at the passing of every mile marker, the music radiates a steadfast dedication to not only rock and roll music, but to rock and roll as a way of life. This idea, the boys don't take lightly. Don't let the fresh faces and blonde locks fool you, these northwest gauchos have seen more red, white, and blue than that trucker eyeing your little sister. And they're not satisfied yet. Hitting the road for yet another full course of America in the summer of 2009, the Lonely H would gladly hock all their leather and feathers just to fill the tank one more time. And that, they will. In fact, as the story goes, the last time Don Henley sat at the same booth as the rest of the Eagles, he ordered "Concrete Class." TOUR DATES: 07/30/09 - Martyr's - Chicago, IL 07/31/09 - Up and Under -Milwaukee, WI 08/01/09 - Ballyhoos - Merrill, WI 08/05/09 - Ciceros - St. Louis, MO 08/06/09 - Booby's Beer Garden - Carbondale, IL 08/07/09 - The Basement - Nashville, TN 08/12/09 - Stafford Main Street - Bryan, TX 08/13/09 - Trophy's - Austin, TX 08/14/09 - Rudyard's - Houston, TX 08/15/09 - Bill's Records (4:45pm) - Dallas, TX 08/15/09 - The Chat Room - Fort Worth, TX 08/17/09 - Spaceland - Los Angeles, CA 08/18/09 - Casbah - San Diego, CA 08/19/09 - The Hemlock - San Francisco, CA 08/20/09 - Old Ironsides - Sacramento, CA 08/21/09 - Cattleman's - Rouge River, OR 08/22/09 - Berbati's w/ New York Rifles, Kleveland - Portland, OR 08/27/09 - Concert on the Dock - Port Townsend, WA 08/28/09 - Showbox - Seattle, WA 09/04/09 - Tractor Tavern - Seattle, WA 09/18/09 - Ash Street Saloon (MusicFEST NW, In Music We Trust showcase) - Portland, OR

BLIND PILOT LAUNCHES FALL TOUR IN OCTOBER; TOURING WITH SPECIAL GUESTS THE LOW ANTHEM Rising Portland, OR-based band, Blind Pilot, kicks off a nationwide tour this October. The tour arrives on the heels of their full-length debut 3 Rounds and a Sound, which earned the band performances on national radio (NPR¹s ³Morning Edition² and ³All Songs Considered²), national television (³Last Call with Carson Daly²) and a spot on this year¹s bill for the esteemed NPR Music Showcase at SXSW in Austin, TX. The album, available now on Expunged Records, received praise from USA Today, the Boston Globe, the New York Post and the Philadelphia Inquirer, which calls the music ³a rustic reverie.² Additionally, the track ³Go On, Say It² was recently selected as the Single of the Week on iTunes. Blind Pilot is currently wrapping up a summer tour, which included opening slots for The Decemberists, Andrew Bird and the acclaimed British rock band Gomez. Blind Pilot recently played sets at this year¹s Lollapalooza and Sasquatch! music festivals and will perform at this year¹s Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival and the Sisters Folk Festival. Please see reverse for a full list of dates. In 2007, Blind Pilot¹s founding members Israel Nebeker (vocals, guitar) and Ryan Dobrowski (drums) embarked on a West Coast bicycle tour playing mostly to unfamiliar listeners at small-town venues. The venturesome duo has since come a long way from their grassroots inception. This summer, Nebeker and Dobrowski rounded out Blind Pilot¹s lineup as a six-piece with fellow Oregonians Luke Ydstie (upright bass, backing vocals), Kati Claborn (banjo, dulcimer, backing vocals), Ian Krist (vibraphones) and Dave Jorgensen (keyboards, trumpet). Kendall Payne "Hello My Dear Friends!!! It has been waaaaaaaaaaay too long since I sent you a note. So I thought this would be the perfect time to do it. I have wonderful news to report! I just finished recording my latest personal album! The mixes are almost finalized and it should be only a month or so before you hear from me again saying "It's Ready!" The title right now is "Wounds to Scars" and it came from one of the lyrics in a song on the album that says "We never know what's gonna make us into the people that we are. Can't tell the toll that it will take on us, until the wounds have turned to scars." And I think it sums up the whole record pretty well. Because each song is about the process of life and love, how it can sometimes wound us. And we have to be patient with our healing and finally one day a scar will emerge. Not sure if you know this or not, but scar tissue is actually stronger than the original skin- and that inspires me with hope that the hurts we carry can actually make us stronger... in a theoretical/singer/songwriter sort of way! Hopefully that whets your pallet just a little! Oooooo also, for those of you who know this name, Charlie Peacock produced it! It was a wonderful experience working with such a legend! And I must say, it really is the coolest record I've ever made! I am so excited to let you hear it! I will keep you posted about the release! Until then, Much love, Kendall"
