The Lonely H As the story goes, the last time Don Henley sat at the same booth as the rest of the Eagles, he ordered "Concrete Class." Now, what is "Concrete Class?" "Concrete Class" is the third full-length from Seattle, Washington's own The Lonely H. Now a quintet, The Lonely H have added a fifth member. The new member, Casey Frasier, will handle guitar and keyboard duties, allowing front man Mark Fredson to solely sing. The band is rounded out by Brothers Whitman - Eric Whitman (guitar) and Johnny Whitman (bass) - and drummer Ben Eyestone. Frasier, 20 years old, and the shortest member of the band, had this to say about joining The Lonely H: "Now I gotta grow a mustache?" MORE INFORMATION ON THE LONELY H:There is nothing ordinary about The Lonely H. And, if you haven't heard "Concrete Class" yet, well, you should give it a spin. Fronted by the charismatic, 6'7", 19 year old Mark Fredson, a man hard to miss in any room for both his height and booming voice, and accompanied by the Brothers Whitman - Eric Whitman (guitar) and Johnny Whitman (bass) - drummer Ben Eyestone, and newcomber Casey Fraiser (guitar/keys), The Lonely H not only look the part, but their sound is as authentic as it comes. The Lonely H have released a video for their first single off of "Concrete Class", entitled "The Singer". The video is available on YouTube at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fzov9VGSWI. It was directed by Benjamin Kasulke. With worn out boots and starry eyes, The Lonely H return from the road bearing one thing: "Concrete Class." After 200 plus shows in 2008, these knights-in-shining-denim have seen their share of hardwood floors, hopeless drunks, and enough roadkill to feed Detroit. And on top of that, three out the four can't legally hit happy hour, yet. Following up their debut, 2006's "Kick Upstairs" and 2007's "Hair", both on The Control Group, "Concrete Class" reels with the rawness of Bob Seger's blue collar howl, and rolls with the purity of a "Tequila Sunrise." But, it doesn't end there -- these 12 tracks were recorded and mixed on miles of analog tape, sweat with the heart and honesty to match. Bearing melodies that pump at the passing of every mile marker, the music radiates a steadfast dedication to not only rock and roll music, but to rock and roll as a way of life. This idea, the boys don't take lightly. Don't let the fresh faces and blonde locks fool you, these northwest gauchos have seen more red, white, and blue than that trucker eyeing your little sister. And they're not satisfied yet. Hitting the road for yet another full course of America in the summer of 2009, the Lonely H would gladly hock all their leather and feathers just to fill the tank one more time. And that, they will. "Those pants are tight, but they ain't too tight, brother." CURRENT TOUR DATES: 10/31/09 - Sirens - Port Townsend, WA 11/13/09 - Black Horse Saloon - Bend, OR 11/20/09 - Twilight Festival @ Gateway Center - Port Angeles, WA 11/21/09 - KEXP (Audio Oasis) - Seattle, WA 11/27/09 - High Dive w/ Raggedy Anns - Seattle, WA

BLIND PILOT RELEASE ITUNES EXCLUSIVE EP 5-TRACK EP INCLUDES NEW RECORDINGS OF ALBUM SONGS, A PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED SONG, AND THEIR COVER OF GILLIAN WELCH'S "LOOK AT MISS OHIO." Blind Pilot released a five-song iTunes Live EP on December 29. The EP, available exclusively on iTunes, includes newly recorded versions of album tracks "One Red Thread," "3 Rounds and a Sound," and "The Story I Heard," plus their stunning cover of Gillian Welch's "Look At Miss Ohio" and an unreleased Blind Pilot original, "Get It Out." Recorded and mixed by Tucker Martine (The Decemberists, Death Cab for Cutie, Laura Veirs) in Portland this fall, the EP is the first Blind Pilot release to feature all six touring members of the band: Israel Nebeker (vocals, guitar), Luke Ydstie (upright bass, vocals), Dave Jorgensen (trumpet, rhodes piano, harmonium), Kati Claborn (dulcimer, banjo, vocals), Ian Krist (vibraphone), and Ryan Dobrowski (drums). Blind Pilot has long been an iTunes favorite. Their song "Go On, Say It," off their debut full-length 3 Rounds and a Sound (Expunged Records), was chosen as iTunes' Single of the Week when the album was released last year. Blind Pilot recently finished an extensive headlining U.S. club tour, which included sold out shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Austin, Portland, Denver, San Diego, Boise, Vancouver, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and Atlanta. December 6 marked the end of nearly a year of touring in support of their full-length debut album 3 Rounds and a Sound, which earned the band performances on national radio (NPR's "Morning Edition" and "All Songs Considered"), national television ("Last Call with Carson Daly") and a spot on this year's bill for the esteemed NPR Music Showcase at SXSW in Austin, TX. The album received praise from USA Today, the Boston Globe, the New York Post, Wired Magazine, AM New York, and the Philadelphia Inquirer, which calls the music "...rustic reverie." THE SOLES LAND FIRST INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL SHOW AT YOUTH COMMUNITY-BASED VENUE After applying to more than 140 Festivals in the past two years, The Soles have finally landed an official Festival, The NORTHWEST FOLKLIFE FESTIVAL 2010 on May 31! We are playing the Vera Stage: "The Vera Project (Vera) is a volunteer-based, non-profit venue that produces live music and arts performances in Seattle as educational and community building opportunities. Vera blends the expertise of some of Seattle's most experienced all-ages music and arts producers and community leaders with the ambition, talent, energy, and resourcefulness of Vera volunteers. Vera provides an opportunity for young people to see live music in a safe, alcohol-free environment, and a chance for young people to gain valuable skills in event production and community organizing." - From Vera's Website “It is rare to find a place where kids can govern and learn with the support of adults, rather than adults dictating their course. The Vera Project is a breeding ground for these young artists, engineers and musicians to grow into leaders of our community and beyond,” - Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder This is a non-profit festival and therefor does not pay. However, this Soles believe in the ideals of the Vera Project and would also love it to be a fitting first International Festival (also first festival in general) The Soles must raise enough money to be able to travel to Seattle (Flights, food and accommodation) OUR GOAL IS $2000 by May 15 1. The SOLES are doing a Live fundraiser at THE CAMERON HOUSE MAY 21 2010 with supporting acts NADJIWAN and MONIQUE BARRY 2. I intend to to this by selling more of my ORIGINAL ART for discount prices! We also plan to make a mini-tour out of it by also playing in Victoria BC while there and possibly even Vancouver. Please take some time to review the DINARTS BROCHURE (CLICK HERE) The Soles are a socially and politically aware and active group in the community.
