Has anyone been watching the new series by Steven Spielberg that's been airing on Fridays on TNT? This is an awesome look at how the west was pioneered and how the Native American nations lost their land. The story is set around the Wheeler family and a Lakota tribe. I've watched the two episode that aired and I have to say I'm hooked. I hear that there is a book upon which this series is based. I'll have to run out and pick it up!

I had every intention of watching it, and I completely forgot...of course, because that is true, it is naturally a great show

Looks boring and I heard they messed up with that girl from Felicity and just ended her story out of the blue. Miniseries used to be hot when I was a kid. Now they try to pack too much in. They need to see North and South and the old Revolutionary War miniseries to see how it is done right.

The series finale was aired last Friday and all I can say is wow! The series was very well done and dared not to dillute any of the unsavory details of American history. I so enjoyed the televsion epic series that I bought the novel adaptation. Believe me, I'm not disappointed in the novelization at all!
For anyone interested in viewing the series in its entirety, the DVD will be out in October 2005.
