In a keynote speech at the annual Siggraph Computer Graphics Conference and Tradeshow, George Lucas reoprted that he will be turning more of his attention toward television products. This would include two Star Wars-themed series, one of which is a 3-D animated Clone Wars series that will be made at Lucas Animations in Singapore. Always looking to try something new, Lucas states that this new series will be shot on on a standard Sony digital camera system available anywhere.

One show won't even have actors. He will have exact replicas made of all the famous Star Wars characters and just have them do stuff with a blue screen. Wow. That will be hot. No emotions, awkward dialogue and fight scenes. I can't wait. The bad news is that I heard it will not come out until 2008 because Lucas wants a hands-on role. Him having a hands-on role scares me. I think the latest wave of authors knows what Star Wars fans want more than its creator these days.
