Anybody out there following the Birds of Prey comic book series. I just got two new trade paperbacks and am re-reading all my old comics in an effort to catch up. However, it's been a while since the trades came out and so I am hopelessly far behind.  |

Have a good friend who scope ebay out for me and got most of the issues and a good price, now that i'm caught up i have a standing order at the local comic shop. Hell i don't even have to give them my name before searching in my box! There's been a couple of good storylines, but i'm enjoy the current one more than the others. Gail Simone (the writer) is brilliant and brings a whole new 'feel' into the dialouge. Mixing wit with seriousness and so on.

Gotta agree with that. The show was great.
I just started reading the comics and I am anticipating they will be as interesting as the show was.

The comics are much better than the show. Though as you know darlin....I was/am a big fan of the show! There is NO REASON the show couldn't continue

Without ruining it for anyone...I just read the most recent issue. Gotta say I saw it coming! It will be interesting to see where they go with it.
Funny...I had this idea penned out in a fan fic I was writing! Hmmmm Gail get into my file cabinet?

Oh I know Vince has been peeking. Too many glaring similarities lately. He should just offer Dray and I a job and be done with it.

And as for Gail....If she has Barbara having the use of her legs for only 8 hours in a 24 hour day...she'll be hearing from my lawyers...LOL

I hope she doesn't use her legs, it would ruin the character that she has evolved into.
