Faster than you can say JonMinnersisthegreatestwriterintheworldanddeservestomakelotsof moneyonhiswriting, I am back hitting you with another edition of the G-Pop Network News. Let's get right into the stories.
In a repeat, Jon Minners challenges your mind on race relations in a story that will have you talking and possibly throwing out your white sheets and pillow cases. Go to www.g-pop.net/Minners44_Race.htm for more.
Saw a great play last weekend and since it dealt with the strength of a Black woman, I decided to attach it to the Minners Commentary Corner. Check out the review of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide when the Rainbow is Enuf at the much shorter link www.g-pop.net/Rainbow.htm
And if you like that review, then you need to see...I mean read about one of the ladies starring in the play. Read the interview about Velvet Ross, the hot new actress that will one day scorch the screen at www.g-pop.net/Ross.htm
I have two Badseed's Bottomline Columns for you. Yes, since I forgot to include last week's column in the previous section and I am too lazy to correct it, just go to www.g-pop.net/Badseed327_Creative.htm to read about where the WWE is going wrong with the whole Matt Hardy angle. Then go to www.g-pop.net/Badseed328_Tag.htm to read about the various tag-teams I have created, because the WWE is Too Stupid to do it themselves.
Talon Karrde writes a review about Sandra Phillips, an artist with a great singing voice as well as a tremendous brain to match. Talon believes success is definitely in the Karrdes for this new talent. Check out the review at www.g-pop.net/sandraphillips.htm
You know you like how I played with her name. It was pure genius. In the Karrdes. Beautiful.
Speaking of beautiful, Cori Yarckin is drop dead gorgeous. And matching her looks is a talent that no one got a chance to really see when she was a contestant on Missy Elliot's Road to Superstardom. Now, former viewers and people with great taste in music can get the opportunity to listen to good music that mainstream radio must be too afraid to play. But now with payola being examined much more closely, good artists like Cori will get the opportunity. Go to www.g-pop.net/Cori.htm to learn why you need to check out this star on the rise.
Let Justine Manzano tell you about the next story. She's live in the Bronx...can you hear me Justine!! "Yes Jon. I am standing outside a place in the Bronx where a new story has just been posted on the popular G-Pop Network. It is the story of the book, The Boys are Back in Town by Christopher Golden. Upon completing the final page of The Boys Are Back In Town, a novel by Christopher Golden, I believe my heart just shivered a little. I am not one of those people who get truly unnerved and jumpy while reading a good horror novel, but this was a doozy because it was real. Take away all the supernatural circumstances, and what you’ve got in this book is a thriller-a true story of insanity and vengeance in a small town. But perhaps I should start at the beginning…"
Whoa Justine. I think we lost you there. Must be the interference from our G-Pop chopper in the field. I guess you are going to have to go to www.g-pop.net/Boysareback.htm to read the rest of the review.
Oooh, more video game reviews. Ismael Manzano first gave you Destroy All Humans and now he presents readers with a look at the hot game title that most magazines gave a 10. God of War gets the real review treatment (everyone has room for improvement IGN, Playstation Magazine, all you other guys). Check out the review at www.g-pop.net/God_of_War.htm
Sitting at home realizing that George Lucas really meant it when he said he wasn't going to make the next Star Wars Trilogy. Thinking about going out into the sun for anything but lining up at a movie theater and talking about who could win a fight Darth Vader or Darth Maul? You know Vader would win, right? I mean, he was technically in six movies while Maul didn't even make it past the first one. What?!! Don't make me lightsaber your candy a$$. Oh, back to the point. Well, Star Wars fans can now stay home and line up in front of their television sets as a new Star Wars series is set for 2008. Until then, there is a Star Wars site for you. Go to www.g-pop.net/lms.htm for more information on this great site.
Ismael Manzano is a man of all traits. He can review anything. Check out his latest review on a classic indepdent film called Boondock Saints. What makes this review timely is that there is a sequel coming out soon. Don't be left behind. Go to www.g-pop.net/Boondocksaints.htm for more information.
Well, that's all. I am tired. I want to sleep and I have to write stories for next week. Until then, keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the sky. This is Casey Kasem...whoa...out of body experience. Just go bug off. Peace
