ARCTIC
NEW YORK, NY (February 1, 2019) – Sony Music announces the release of ARCTIC (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) with music by Joseph Trapanese (The Greatest Showman, Tron: Legacy, Straight Outta Compton) – available everywhere February 1. Originally premiering at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, Joe Penna’s Arctic is a dramatic tale of survival and makes its debut in theatres on February 1.
“Director Joe Penna was a wonderful creative partner in helping me invent a unique soundtrack for ARCTIC. We used choirs of bass flutes, Wagner tubas, and low strings to evoke the power of the landscape, and explored electronic techniques like convolution, re-amplification, and tape varispeed to bring organic, familiar sounds into the frozen environment of the film. We're incredibly proud of this distinct film and soundtrack, and excited to share it with you" says Joseph Trapanese.
Directed by Joe Penna and written by Penna and Ryan Morrison, Arctic is the story of a man stranded in the wake of an airplane crash who must decide whether to remain in the relative safety of his makeshift camp or to embark on a deadly trek through the unknown in hopes of making it out alive. Penna’s feature-film debut stars Mads Mikkelsen and is produced by Christopher Lemole and Tim Zajaros of Armory Films, who also financed, and Noah C Haeussner of Union Entertainment Group. Martha De Laurentiis, Manu Gargi and Einar Thorsteinsson serve as executive producers.
Bleecker Street acquired the North American distribution rights and select international territories following its world premiere in Cannes. XYZ Films handled international sales for the film.

MUSIC INSPIRED BY THE FILM ROMA
NEW YORK, NY (January 23, 2019) – Sony Music announces the FEBRUARY 8th release of MUSIC INSPIRED BY THE FILM ROMA, an album of music inspired by Alfonso Cuarón’s award winning film. Yesterday, the film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards including Best Picture. Available to preorder now, the album features songs from BECK, BILLIE EILISH, EL-P, IBEYI, JESSIE REYEZ, LAURA MARLING, PATTI SMITH, UNKLE and more, recorded exclusively for this project.
Included with today’s preorder and available now to stream is BECK’s first musical offering of 2019, entitled “Tarantula” - listen here. Beck’s radical reimagining of “Tarantula," a 1982 B-Side by 4AD artists Colourbox, replaces the minimalist groove of the original with an epic arrangement by Beck in collaboration with his father, David Campbell. Produced by Beck and mixed by Tom Elmhirst, the track features a riveting Beck vocal performance at its centerpiece with the backing of a 24-piece ensemble.
After completing work on ROMA, director Alfonso Cuarón was struck with the notion of having his favorite musical artists create songs inspired by the film. Interested in hearing what the film might inspire in artists across the globe, Cuarón and his music supervisor Lynn Fainchtein began exploring possibilities with the help of their friend Randall Poster. They approached artists of all genres and backgrounds, inviting them to contribute either an original piece of music or a cover of one of the songs heard in the film.
For some, ROMA inspired new originals, including Billie Eilish’s “WHEN I WAS OLDER,” available now to listen. Like most of the original songs contributed to the collection, “WHEN I WAS OLDER” incorporates various sound elements from ROMA’s dense audio tracks. From shouts of student protests to barkings of Borras to the grinding of knives, artists drew inspiration from the sonic landscape meticulously crafted by ROMA, imbuing their compositions with the day-to-day soundtrack of the streets of Mexico City. 16-year-old Bu Cuarón makes her musical debut with her contribution “PSYCHO,” opening with a dramatic audio clip from ROMA before descending into a synth-heavy, electro-pop gem. Elsewhere, British singer-songwriter Laura Marling covers the Mary Hopkin original “Those Were The Days,” which is heard in the film as a cover by Ray Conniff & The Singers. The legendary Patti Smith records a new version of her 1996 track “Wing,” while French musical duo Ibeyi draws inspiration from the character of Cleo and her story.
From hip-hop’s El-P to R&B breakout Jessie Reyez and electronic producers UNKLE and DJ Shadow, the remainder of the collection is a diverse tapestry that transcends genre, geography and age. From Sonido Gallo Negro and Quique Rangel’s Mexico City roots to singer-songwriter Asaf Avidan’s native Israel, and with artists belonging to five different generations, Music Inspired by the Film ROMA is a contemporary touchstone that further reiterates the film’s ability to connect with audiences of all ages across the globe.
Music Inspired by The Film ROMA is the latest addition to the sonic universe of Alfonso Cuarón’s semi-autobiographical film, following the release of ROMA (Official Motion Picture Soundtrack). Delivering a sonic portrait of Mexico in the 1970s, the soundtrack presents a mosaic of sounds that further encapsulate the sociopolitical transitions of the era.
ABOUT ROMA
The most personal project to date from Academy Award®-winning director and writer Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Children of Men, Y Tu Mama Tambien), ROMA follows Cleo (Yalitza Aparicio) a young domestic worker for a family in the middle-class neighborhood of Roma in Mexico City. Cuarón draws on his own childhood to create a vivid and emotional portrait of domestic strife and social hierarchy amidst political turmoil of the 1970s. Delivering an artful love letter to the women who raised him, ROMA is the winner of two Golden Globe® Awards and four Critics Choice Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Cinematography and Best Foreign Film. This marks Cuarón’s first project since the groundbreaking Gravity in 2013.

THE PRODIGY
NEW YORK, NY – Sony Music proudly announces the release of THE PRODIGY (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) featuring original music by award-winning composer Joseph Bishara. The soundtrack is available everywhere February 8, 2019 coinciding with the nationwide release in U.S. theaters.
Horror fixture JOSEPH BISHARA immerses himself in each project, developing distinct soundtracks through a mixture of classical, punk and industrial noise. In addition to his unique scores, Bishara has also appeared onscreen as creatures in many of the films he’s worked on. Of the soundtrack, Bishara says, “The score for The Prodigy was an opportunity to thematically explore the multi-life patterns of a soul’s journey, and bridging that connection into the real world where the struggle for survival takes place.”
In her much-anticipated foray into the horror-thriller genre, Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Taylor Schilling stars as a mother named Sarah whose young son Miles’ disturbing behavior signals that an evil, possibly supernatural force has overtaken him. Fearing for her family’s safety, Sarah must choose between her maternal instinct to love and protect Miles and a desperate need to investigate what – or who – is causing his dark turn. She is forced to look for answers in the past, taking the audience on a wild ride; one where the line between perception and reality becomes frighteningly blurry.
Directed by Nicholas McCarthy (The Pact, At Devil's Door) with a screenplay by Jeff Buhler (The Midnight Meat Train, Pet Sematary), the movie stars Taylor Schilling (Orange is the New Black), Jackson Robert Scott (It, Fear the Walking Dead), Peter Mooney (Burden of Truth, Rookie Blue) and Colm Feore (Thor, Pearl Harbor).
ABOUT JOSEPH BISHARA
Joseph Bishara is a composer and music producer of a darker flavor. His scores include The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2, Annabelle, Insidious, Insidious Chapter 2, Insidious Chapter 3, The Other Side of the Door and many others. Bishara has also appeared onscreen as creature performer in Insidious as the Lipstick-Face Demon, The Conjuring as Bathsheba, as well as demons in Annabelle and The Conjuring 2. Music production work includes the soundtrack for the cult musical film Repo! The Genetic Opera and its successor The Devil’s Carnival, as well programming and remix contributions for artists such as Tech N9ne, Marilyn Manson, Rasputina, Danzig, Jane’s Addiction and Nine Inch Nails.

ALL IS TRUE
NEW YORK, NY (February 8, 2019) – Sony Music proudly announces the release of ALL IS TRUE (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) featuring original music by Oscar-nominee Patrick Doyle (Hamlet, Sense and Sensibility).
Of the soundtrack, composer PATRICK DOYLE says: “I have the great fortune of a long-standing working relationship with Kenneth Branagh, which has been a huge pleasure and very fruitful. Kenneth kindly asked me to score the picture, All Is True, and I readily agreed. I loved the script and, of course, with the knowledge that Ken and Judy would be playing William and Anne, I knew it would be electric and historic.
The schedule was very tight and I was sent the rushes every day, composing hot on the heels of the cut. This included two songs written to Shakespeare's words, which both feature in the screenplay: "Fear No More", from Cymbelne, and "I Know A Bank" from A Midsummer Night's Dream. These songs formed the foundation for the thematic development of the score. It is always a privilege to have the opportunity to set music to William Shakespeare's words. He has been a constant inspiration to composers through the ages and I am no exception.”
The year is 1613, Shakespeare is acknowledged as the greatest writer of the age. But disaster strikes when his renowned Globe Theatre burns to the ground, and devastated, Shakespeare returns to Stratford, where he must face a troubled past and a neglected family. Haunted by the death of his only son Hamnet, he struggles to mend the broken relationships with his wife and daughters. In so doing, he is ruthlessly forced to examine his own failings as husband and father. His very personal search for the truth uncovers secrets and lies within a family at war.
The movie is directed by multiple Oscar-nominee Kenneth Branagh (My Week with Marilyn, Hamlet, Henry V), who also plays William Shakespeare. The film also stars Oscar-winner Judi Dench (Shakespeare in Love) and Oscar-nominee Ian McKellen. The screenplay is by Ben Elton. The film is produced by Tamar Thomas and Ted Gagliano with Judy Hofflund, Matt Jenkins, Becca Kovacik, and Laura Berwick as executive producers.
ABOUT PATRICK DOYLE
Patrick Doyle is a classically trained composer of film, theatre and concert music. He graduated from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music in 1975 and was made a Fellow of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music in 2001. Doyle has been commissioned to score over 55 international feature films, including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Carlito’s Way, Gosford Park, Sense and Sensibility, Thor and recently, Murder On The Orient Express.
His work has led to collaborations with some of the most acclaimed directors in the world, such as Alfonso Cuarón, Brian De Palma, Robert Altman, Ang Lee, Mike Newell, Chen Kaige and Régis Wargnier.
Doyle's creative relationship with director Kenneth Branagh has resulted in many of his best-known scores over the past 25 years, for films such as Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, Thor, Cinderella and Murder On The Orient Express.
Doyle has received two Oscar® nominations, two Golden Globe nominations, two Cesar nominations, and won the 1989 Ivor Novello Award for Best Film Theme for Henry V. He has also been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Scottish BAFTA and from Film Fest Ghent, as well as the ASCAP Henry Mancini Award and PRS Award for Extraordinary Achievement in Music.

VAN GOGH: OF WHEAT FIELDS AND CLOUDED SKIES
NEW YORK, NY (February 15, 2019) – Sony Music proudly announces the release of VAN GOGH: OF WHEAT FIELDS AND CLOUDED SKIES (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) featuring original music by composer REMO ANZOVINO
Of the soundtrack, composer REMO ANZOVINO says, “Composing the score was an intense journey, an all-consuming experience. The music had to represent the subjective point of view of both protagonists: saying with sound what he must have felt, shut away in the asylum in Saint Remy, painting Starry Night (‘Vincent’); what she must have felt avidly reading his letters to Theo and voraciously viewing his paintings (‘Helene’). What it meant to find yourself in Arles at midday in the middle of a wheat field and to feel, as Vincent wrote to Theo, ‘like a cricket’, happy as never before, literally exploding with colour (‘Arles symphony’).”
VAN GOGH: OF WHEAT FIELDS AND CLOUDED SKIES provides a new look at Van Gogh through the legacy of the greatest private collector of the Dutch artist’s work: Helene Kröller-Müller (1869-1939), who in the early 20th Century, ended up buying nearly 300 of his works, paintings and drawings included. This is a story that tells the tale of the spiritual bond between two people who never met during their lifetime (Helene Kröller-Müller was 21 when Van Gogh died in 1890), but shared the same attraction for the Absolute, the same uncompromising search for a pure artistic, religious dimension. Directed by Giovanni Piscaglia, the screenplay is by Matteo Moneta with consultancy from Marco Goldin. The film is produced by 3D Produzioni and Nexo Digital with Veronica Bottanelli as an executive producer. The accompanying narrative to the documentary is provided by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi. The film is a part of Nexo Digital’s artbeats project, which aims to bring a worldwide access to art documentaries together with their soundtracks, captured to seize amazing images from completely new and exclusive points of view.
ABOUT REMO ANZOVINO
Born in 1976 to Neapolitan parents, Remo Anzovino began playing the piano and composing music as a child. At age 24 he obtained a first-class Law degree with honors from the University of Bologna, specializing in Criminal Law. Anzovino is currently considered one of the most influential composers and pianists in the Italian music scene. His style is the perfect intersection between art music and world music, it’s the result of a long experience composing for the theatre, advertising (for brands such as Alitalia, Bulgari and NewHolland) and for the cinema. Among the many music titles of the silent pictures he played with orchestra and piano solo, there are many cult movies such as:
Le voyage dans la lune (G. Melies, 1902) Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari (R. Wiene, 1920) Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens (F.W. Murnau, 1922) Nanook of the North: A Story of Life and Love in the Actual Arctic (R.J. Flaherty, 1922) The Navigator (B. Keaton, 1924) Metropolis (Fritz Lang, 1927) The Cameraman (B. Keaton, 1928) Tagebuch einer Verlorenen (G.W. Pabst, 1929) Tabù (F.W. Murnau and R.J. Flaherty, 1931)
His work is inspired by film and visual media, whether that is celebrating Pasolini, writing a complete soundtrack for “Fight For Freedom”, a recent film about Muhammad Ali, or “To duration - A tribute to Peter Handke” in 2017; and more creating the original soundtracks for “Hitler versus Picasso and The Others: The Nazi Obsession”, for “Van Gogh: of wheat fields and clouded skies”, two art movies released in April and May 2018 in over than 50 countries. Moreover he just finished the original soundtrack for the movie "The Water Lilies by Monet. The Magic of Water and Light".
Remo Anzovino’s latest album entitled “Nocturne” (Sony Music Italy), was released on 29th September 2017 for digital download, to main music streaming platforms and through traditional record stores. The vinyl version is also available as a double LP. “Nocturne” was recorded between Tokyo (JVC Victor Studio), London (Abbey Road), Paris (Les Studios Saint Germain) and New York (Brooklyn Recording). This modern, incisive album was produced, recorded and mixed by Taketo Gohara, with orchestral arrangements by Stefano Nanni, who also directed the London Session Orchestra. Some of the top-level International musicians who made their sensitive contribution to the project are, on Chinese violin Masatsugu Shinozaki, first violinist with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Armenian Vardan Grygorian, considered to be one of the finest Duduk players in the world, French musician Nadia Ratsimandresy, one of the foremost virtuoso players of ‘ondes martenot’ and Gianfranco Grisi, who invented the ‘cristallarmonio’ (glassharmonica) and is unrivalled in the art of glass-playing.
The Yamaha Music Europe have chosen Remo Anzovino to be a Yamaha Artist and Brand Ambassador, stating: "Yamaha will accompany Remo Anzovino though his career, having recognized that his unique musical expression combines a modern, International way of composing with a markedly Italian taste for beauty."

WONDER PARK
NEW YORK, NY (MARCH 2019) – Sony Music today announced the release of WONDER PARK (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) with music by Oscar® and BAFTA® Award-winning composer STEVEN PRICE (Gravity, Baby Driver, Suicide Squad). Available everywhere March 8, the soundtrack features music from the Paramount Animation/Nickelodeon Movies film, which makes its theatrical debut March 15.
Of the soundtrack, composer STEVEN PRICE says: “Wonder Park is really a story about imagination. June and her mom spend countless hours imagining, designing and building models of an amazing park, complete with rides such as Fireworks Falls and the Skyflingers, all powered by the magical Clockwork Swings, the heart of the park. The park is their game, their shared project taking over their whole house and sometimes the whole neighbourhood, and, as the film progresses, we see June entering this world for real.
Musically, the film couldn’t have been a more exciting thing to write for. I needed to capture the sense of this park, and June herself, full of fun and imagination, and also how the state of the park reflected June’s emotions. It seemed an opportunity to deliver something really thematic. The principle two themes of the film are the Park theme, where I really wanted to capture something classic, melodic and celebratory, a kind of fanfare for the imagination if you like, and the Mom theme, a more introspective theme that helps us connect with June’s emotions as the story develops. Also needed were motifs for some of the principal characters in the park itself, the team of animals led by Peanut the Monkey that all work together to save the park from the darkness that envelopes it. Underpinning all this, and central to the film and its score, is the idea and the sound of the Clockwork Swings.”
Wonder Park tells the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive. One magical day, June is running through the woods to find her way home where she discovers an old rollercoaster car and climbs inside. She suddenly finds herself in Wonderland, an amusement park she had created in her mind and put aside. All of her rides and characters are brought to life but are falling into disarray without her. Now, with the help of her fun and lovable park characters, June will have to put the wonder back in Wonderland before it is lost forever.

OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS
Of the soundtrack, composer THOMAS NEWMAN says: “THE HIGHWAYMEN is already steeped in the perfume of the south. The desolate, dry landscapes of Texas and Oklahoma. Ringgold Road in Louisiana where Maney Gault and Frank Hamer finally catch up with Bonnie and Clyde and where everything ends. The music leans towards local flavor on the one hand, and a tense, personal psychology on the other. Foot stomps, knee slaps. Steel-wound and nylon string guitars. Country fiddle. Waltz rhythms, square rhythms. All tumbling towards an inevitable, unsettling conclusion in Depression-era America, 1934.”

THE CHAPERONE (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK)
NEW YORK, NY (MARCH 2019) – Sony Music announces the release of THE CHAPERONE (ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK) with music by Emmy Award-nominated composer MARCELO ZARVOS (Fences, Wonder, Sin Nombre) – available everywhere March 29. Originally making its premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival, The Chaperone makes its theatrical debut alongside the soundtrack’s release on March 29.
Of the soundtrack, composer MARCELO ZARVOS says: “For the original score of The Chaperone I chose a more restrained chamber music approach rather than a big sweeping orchestra. There is something incredibly intimate and reserved about the character of Norma Carlisle, brilliantly brought to life by Elizabeth McGovern, that I wanted to preserve and honor in the score. The focus was always on Norma’s internal world and gentle curiosity. The instrumentation of string quartet, trumpet, woodwinds, piano and harp was meant to capture the universal aspect of the story, leaving the wonderful jazzy and diverse source pieces in the film to portray the bustling 1920's New York City.”
Director MICHAEL ENGLER states: “I wanted the score for The Chaperone to suggest the intimacy of the artistic and emotional longings of the characters rather than reflect the period in general. Marcelo did an incredible job of crafting it with a slight nod to the chamber music pieces that Louise dances to and that her mother plays.”
Louise Brooks the 1920s silver screen sensation who never met a rule she didn’t break, epitomized the restless, reckless spirit of the Jazz Age. But, just a few years earlier, she was a 15 year-old student in Wichita, Kansas for whom fame and fortune were only dreams. When the opportunity arises for her to go to New York to study with a leading dance troupe, her mother (Victoria Hill) insists there be a chaperone. Norma Carlisle (Elizabeth McGovern), a local society matron who never broke a rule in her life, impulsively volunteers to accompany Louise (Haley Lu Richardson) to New York for the summer.
Why does this utterly conventional woman do this? What happens to her when she lands in Manhattan with an unusually rebellious teenager as her ward? And, which of the two women is stronger, the uptight wife-and-mother or the irrepressible free spirit? It’s a story full of surprises—about who these women really are, and who they eventually become.
Based on Laura Moriarty’s beloved New York Times best-selling novel, “The Chaperone" reunites the writer (Oscar-winner Julian Fellowes), director (Michael Engler) and star (Elizabeth McGovern) of “Downton Abbey" for an immersive and richly emotional period piece. The film also stars Campbell Scott, Géza Röhrig, Miranda Otto, Robert Fairchild, and Blythe Danner.
ABOUT MARCELO ZARVOS
The subtle nuances of composer Marcelo Zarvos’ style are evidenced in his recent scores for Fences directed by and starring Denzel Washington, Golden Globe-winning The Affair and Ray Donovan. Though his training began by studying classical music he later began delving into jazz, rock and world music. This expansion of influence helped to create Zarvos’ trademark sound – a seamless blend of classical, orchestral, rock, electronic and various ethnic elements, that together create uniquely affecting and emotionally charged music for film, TV, modern dance and the concert stage.
Zarvos most recently scored the acclaimed hit film Wonder starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson and Jacob Tremblay and directed by Stephen Chbosky which opened in November 2017.
Because of his skill with layered stories and emotive undertones, Brazilian-born Zarvos has become the go-to composer for filmmakers like Nicole Holofcener (Enough Said, Please Give, the recent Amazon series One Mississippi), Antoine Fuqua (Brooklyn’s Finest), Tod Williams (The Door In The Floor, Cell), Ross Katz (Adult Beginners, The Choice), Cary Fukunaga (Sin Nombre) and Barry Levinson (The Humbling, You Don’t Know Jack, Rock The Kasbah).
A classically trained pianist and composer, Zarvos earned his BFA from Cal Arts. He burst onto the film landscape in the early 2000s with his score for Kissing Jessica Stein and with the film adaptation of the John Irving novel, The Door In The Floor. Zarvos’ credits include The Good Shepherd, The Words, Brooklyn’s Finest, The Face Of Love, Reaching For The Moon (Flores Raras), Sin Nombre, Hollywoodland, Adult Beginners, The Humbling, Little Accidents, American Ultra and Enough Said.
Twice nominated for Primetime Emmy® Awards (for You Don’t Know Jack and Taking Chance), Zarvos’ television work includes Too Big To Fail, The Big C, Extant the HBO movie Phil Spector, the Amazon series One Mississippi and Z: The Beginning Of Everything, the limited series The Romanoffs for Amazon and two current Showtime series The Affair and Ray Donovan.
Zarvos’ recent projects include The Land Of Steady Habits written and directed by Nicole Holofcener, The Choice (based on the Nicholas Sparks novel) and Mapplethorpe starring Matt Smith and directed by Ondi Timoner.

SIRENS
(May 23, 2018 – Los Angeles, CA) – Varèse Sarabande is honored to announce the release of Sirens digitally and on CD on June 1, 2018. The album features original music by composer Craig Safan (THE LAST STARFIGHTER, the album Rough Magic). Sirens is an original composition based on the tales of the classic Greek myth The Odyssey and the amazing locations where the tales took place.
“Sirens is inspired partly by my love of The Odyssey and partly by my lifelong love of myths. I've been enchanted by both since I was a child,” said Safan. “These tales and their magic have resonated throughout my life. With Sirens I'm not portraying the literal tales in The Odyssey, but rather the innermost feelings and memories they convey. The inward experience and journey, the wanderings of our lives, our relationship to family and home, and the deeper sonorities of existence.”
Travels to historic regions are always an inspiration to Safan. His 2015 album Rough Magic, was inspired by the ancient caves of Southern France and Northern Spain. Similarly, Safan traveled to Europe to soak in the atmosphere where events in The Odyssey took place. “In preparing to compose Sirens, I wanted to visit some of the actual locations that appear in The Odyssey,” continued Safan. “I found that while they are mostly unknown and imaginary, many scholars put them in and around Sicily. There I found many places that are named after the sirens, the Cyclops, the wind god, Aeolus, and Odysseus, as well as the straits where Scylla and Charybdis lurked. I traveled along the coast and visited the Aeolian Islands, exploring caves and ancient quarries, recording the natural sounds and the unique echoes and reverberations of each.”
Craig Safan has composed the music for over thirty feature films including MR. WRONG, STAND AND DELIVER, MAJOR PAYNE, NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET IV, REMO WILLIAMS, and THE LAST STARFIGHTER. For the small screen, Craig is best known for his work as the composer for the series CHEERS for which he was awarded eight ASCAP Top TV awards, as well as for his music for LIFE GOES ON, which earned Safan an EMMY® nomination. Craig Safan’s music has been performed by Bernadette Peters, Nathan Lane, Faith Prince, Emma Thompson, Leon Redbone, Amanda McBroom, the London Symphony, and Cincinnati Pops Orchestras.
Craig is a graduate of Brandeis University and was the recipient of both the Senior Prize in Drama and the Senior Prize in Music. Craig has given seminars or spoken at The American Film Institute, USC Film School, ASCAP Film Music Workshop, Berklee College of Music, and UC Santa Barbara. Craig is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, where he sits on the Music Executive Committee of the Academy. Craig also serves on the Selection Committee for the Thomas J. Watson Foundation Fellowship in New York City, an award that he was the recipient of after college. In 2014 Craig conducted his film music at the 10th annual International Film Music Festival in Cordoba, Spain, and was pleasantly surprised to receive the festival’s Basil Poledouris Award For A Film Music Legend.
“Sirens is most importantly an immersive experience which might take one to another world where myth, magic, and sensuality are on the surface and upfront,” said Safan. “I truly enjoyed entering this mythic world and composing its music. Close your eyes, let the present drop away, and dive into the world of Sirens, Odysseus, and your forgotten past.”
Varèse Sarabande is honored to announce the release of Sirens digitally and on CD on June 1, 2018.

MORE MUSIC FROM THE FURTHER
(August 14, 2018– Los Angeles, CA) – void recordings presents the debut release on vinyl and digital download, MORE MUSIC FROM THE FURTHER on August 18. The album features original music by composer Joseph Bishara (Insidious 1-4, The Conjuring 1&2).
More Music From the Further is a collection of 27 unreleased and developmental score pieces from the first three Insidious films. Composer and creature performer Joseph Bishara delves into the raw takes, pre-scores and unreleased sequences written to sonically define the world of Insidious.
The colors of each film emerge through the body of work with an avant-garde composition style influenced by classical, early goth and industrial music as well as Tangerine Dream and John Carpenter’s works. Noted multi-talented rebel of the horror film score, Bishara employs "gut-wrenching string dissonance, haunting electronic sounds and sudden crescendos" ( ASCAP.com ) in his use of strings and percussion to create effects designed to evoke "maximum shock effect" in the listener.
The original Insidious garnered Bishara the Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Score on the film. He went on to compose music for its sequels Insidious Chapter 2, Insidious Chapter 3 and Insidious: The Last Key. MORE MUSIC FROM THE FURTHER is from this dark astral realm of horror.
Beyond his work on Insidious films, Joseph has been both composer and creature performer in The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2 and Annabelle. Formerly guitarist and keyboardist from the LA industrial music scene, Bishara segued to soundtrack work on Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, Heavy Metal 2000, and John Carpenter’s Ghosts of Mars. Bishara ’s credits also span from rap to hardcore to film as a music producer. His music production work includes the soundtrack for the cult musical film Repo! The Genetic Opera and its successor The Devil’s Carnival, as well programming and remix contributions for artists such as Tech N9ne, Marilyn Manson, Rasputina, Danzig, Jane’s Addiction and Nine Inch Nails.

OPERATION FINALE
(August 24 – New York, NY) – Sony Classical releases OPERATION FINALE (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) with original music by Academy Award® winner Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, The Grand Budapest Hotel). The soundtrack will be available for streaming, download and on CD August 24, 2018. Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures (MGM) will distribute Operation Finale theatrically on August 29, 2018.
MGM’s razor-sharp thriller, Operation Finale, brings to life one of the most daring covert operations in modern history. Starring Golden Globe® winner Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Ex Machina) and Academy Award® winner Sir Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Schindler’s List), and the film vividly captures the ingenious and brilliantly executed mission to capture Adolf Eichmann, one of the chief architects of the Holocaust.
Fifteen years after the end of World War II, acting on irrefutable evidence, a top-secret team of Israeli agents travel to Argentina where Eichmann (Kingsley) has been in hiding together with his family under the alias “Ricardo Klement” and execute an extremely dangerous abduction. In attempting to sneak him out of Argentina to stand trial in Israel while being pursued by the country’s right-wing forces, agent Peter Malkin (Isaac) is forced to engage Eichmann in an intense and gripping game of cat-and-mouse with life-and-death stakes.
Operation Finale is directed by Chris Weitz (About a Boy, The Twilight Saga: New Moon) from a screenplay by Matthew Orton. Oscar Isaac is also a producer, along with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger under their Automatik company and Jason Spire’s Inspire Entertainment.
Alexandre Desplat says about the soundtrack: “Writing a score for the abduction of Adolf Eichmann has been a tremendous challenge. Chris and I tried to bring the audience into the mind of the Mossad squad, struggling to succeed in one of the most famous chases of a Nazi official; a criminal with no regrets or remorse whatsoever, hidden in Argentina. Organizing the train transports of Jews throughout Europe and supervising their systematic killings in villages or forests were some of Eichmann’s tasks. The music I composed tries to modestly capture these elements of tragedy and madness. A group of 10 percussionists leads the London Symphony Orchestra into a Mephistophelian dance.”
ABOUT ALEXANDRE DESPLAT
Composer, orchestrator and conductor Alexandre Desplat is a two-time Academy Award® winner, nine-time Academy Award® Nominee, with over hundred scores and numerous awards to his credit and is one of the most worthy heirs of the French film scoring masters.
A true cinephile, his approach to film composition is not only based on his strong musicality but also on his understanding of film which allows him to intimately communicate with directors. Inspired by the works of Maurice Jarre, Bernard Herrmann, Nino Rota or Georges Delerue, he expressed his desire to compose for film early on but really made his decision after listening to John Williams’ score to Star Wars.
After scoring 50 European films, with legendary French directors such as Philippe de Broca and Francis Girod, he burst in 2003 onto the Hollywood scene with his evocative score to Peter Webber’s Girl With A Pearl Earring earning him nominations at the Golden Globe Awards®, BAFTAs and European Film Awards.
His singular and remarkable scores for the films of Jacques Audiard showed a new musical voice and his composition for The Beat That My Heart Skipped in 2005 earned him the Silver Bear at the Berlinale as well as his first César.
Alexandre Desplat then started to expand his U.S. career keeping his European collaborations.
In 2007 he received his first Academy Award® nomination for Stephen Frears’ The Queen which earned him his first European Film Award. The same year he won the Golden Globe, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award and the World Soundtrack Award for his score to John Curran’s The Painted Veil, performed by Lang Lang.
He composed in 2008 for Florent Siri’s Intimate Enemy, Ang Lee’s Lust, Caution, and David Fincher’s The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, which earned him a second Oscar nomination and a fourth BAFTA and Golden Globe® nomination.
With his score for Roman Polanski’s The Ghost Writer in 2010, starting an inspiring relationship, he won a second César and a second European Film Award. The same year, he wrote the music for Twilight-New Moon by Chris Weitz, a platinum record, Anne Fontaine’s Coco Before Chanel and for Tom Hooper’s The King’s Speech for which he won the BAFTA, the Grammy Award and receives his fourth Academy Award® nomination and his fifth Golden Globe® nomination. In 2010-2011 Alexandre Desplat scored David Yates’ films Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part 1 and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part 2, which became the third most successful movie of all time.
As eclectic as prolific, he wrote nine scores in 2011 including Terence Malik’s Tree Of Life, Roman Polanski’s Carnage, Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox, Daniel Auteuil’s The Wells Digger’s Daughter and George Clooney’s The Ides of March.
In 2012, keeping his artistic exchange with European directors, Alexandre Desplat collaborated with Kathryn Bigelow for Zero Dark Thirty, Matteo Garrone for Reality, Gilles Bourdos for Renoir, Jérôme Salle for Zulu, Wes Anderson for Moonrise Kingdom and Jacques Audiard for Rust And Bone, the latter of which he won a third César. He also scored Argo by Ben Affleck, which was awarded the Oscar for best film and earned Alexandre Desplat a sixth nomination at BAFTA, as well as a fifth nomination at the Golden Globes® and the Academy Awards®.
In 2013 he scored George Clooney’s The Monuments Men, Roman Polanski’s Venus In Fur and Stephen Frears’ Philomena, for which he received his seventh BAFTA and his fifth Oscar nominations.
In 2014, he scored Gareth Edwards’s blockbuster Godzilla and received a rare double Academy Award® nomination for his scores of Morten Tyldum’s The Imitation Game and Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, which earned him a BAFTA, a Grammy Award® and his first Academy Award win.

THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE 3
(February 7, 2019) – Varèse Sarabande is excited to release THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE Season 3 - Original Amazon Series Soundtrack. The music to season 3 of the award-winning Amazon series is c omposed by Dominic Lewis (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE) and is available digitally from your favorite music retailer.
Based on Philip K. Dick’s best-selling novel, THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE is a startling depiction of an alternate history; a world in which Nazi Germany and Japan were victorious in World War II. In season 3, historic fiction meets science fiction as alternate realty doppelgangers come into play in this what if? nightmare, where fascism rules and “undesirables” must hide under assumed names and lives.
Known for his musical contributions to action films like THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, G.I. JOE: RETALIATION and RED DAWN, this English-born film composer has an equally animated side with his Annie-nominated, FREE BIRDS, and AACTA-nominated, PETER RABBIT, scores. Not to be limited by screen size, Dominic is both music producer and television composer for the 2017 relaunch of Disney’s DUCKTALES.
From the start of THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, Lewis’ score has brought the distinct cultures of Imperialist Japan and Nazi Germany to life in this off-kilter existence of an occupied United States. Now in season 3, Lewis introduces the music of the neutral zone, a wild-west version America struggling to survive between the dark forces encroaching from both coasts. Complex and as emotionally pitched as the show’s narrative, the season 3 soundtrack challenges listeners with sound that is both familiar and alien as this alternative history epic.
TRACKLIST 1.Inertial Frame 2.Reichsmarschall 3.Trudy Travels 4.Cut-Throat 5.Sabra 6.Fuel to the Fire 7.Scrap Metal 8.Ams Libe 9.Saving Face 10.Requiem 11.Die Nebenweld 12.Lights Out 13.End of an Era
