Casey Bell (Odette Yustman) hated her mother for leaving her as a child. But when inexplicable things start to happen, Casey begins to understand why she left. Plagued by merciless dreams and a tortured ghost that haunts her waking hours, she must turn to the only spiritual advisor, Sendak (Gary Oldman), who can make it stop. With Sendak's help, Casey uncovers the source of a family curse dating back to Nazi Germany - a creature with the ability to inhabit anyone or anything that is getting stronger with each possession. With the curse unleashed, her only chance at survival is to shut a doorway from beyond our world that has been pried open by someone who was never born. Rogue Pictures presents THE UNBORN released in theaters nationwide on January 9, 2009. MONSTERS VS. ALIENS SOUNDTRACK (March 12, 2009- Los Angeles, CA) Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack for MONSTERS VS. ALIENS available digitally (iTunes and Amazon Digital) on March 10, 2009 and in stores on March 24, 2009. Henry Jackman (composer of additional music for Hancock, Kung Fu Panda, and The Da Vinci Code) composed the score. Henry Jackman studied classical music in the UK at St. Paul's Cathedral Choir School, Eton College and Oxford University. An avid interest in technology and contemporary culture meant his formal education was mixed with the urban beats of club music and electronica. In 2006 Jackman began working with Hans Zimmer. This association led to Jackmans contributions on several films including The Da Vinci Code, Pirates of the Caribbean 2, The Holiday, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, and The Simpsons Movie. He also worked with Trevor Horn, programming and executing string arrangements for the title track of the film Anastasia. He also co-produced Born On A Sunday with Trevor Horn on the Art of Noise album The Seduction of Claude Debussy. Jackmans compositions have been heard on CNN, the BBC, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and The Discovery Channel. When California girl Susan Murphy (voiced by Reese Witherspoon) is unwittingly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk on her wedding day, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall. Alerted to the threat of this new monster, the military jumps into action and Susan is captured and secreted away to a covert government compound. There, she is renamed Ginormica and placed in confinement with a ragtag group of other monsters: the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach (Hugh Laurie), Ph.D.; the macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link (Will Arnett); the gelatinous and indestructible B.O.B. (Seth Rogan); and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus (Jimmy Kimmel). Their confinement is cut short, however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country. In a moment of desperation, The President (Stephen Colbert) is persuaded by General W.R. Monger (Kiefer Sutherland) to enlist the motley crew of Monsters to combat the Alien Robot and save the world from imminent destruction. DreamWorks Pictures presents MONSTERS VS. ALIENS in theaters on March 27, 2009. MONSTERS VS. ALIENS original soundtrack on Lakeshore Records will be available via iTunes and Amazon Digital on March 10th and in stores on March 24, 2009.

CRANK: HIGH VOLTAGE (March 31, 2009- Los Angeles, CA) Lakeshore Records will release the soundtrack for CRANK: HIGH VOLTAGE, available digitally (iTunes and Amazon Digital) and in stores on April 7, 2009. Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle) composed the score. Composer Mike Patton founded the band Mr. Bungle as a teenager. While they were having problems with their then lead singer Faith No More scouted Patton. He would join the band as their vocalist. Their 1989 album The Real Thing broke into the Billboard Top 200 after the second single Epic became a favorite on MTV. The band would record three more studio albums before breaking up in 1998. Patton continued to work with Mr. Bungle, release solo albums, and worked extensively with John Zorn. The yet-unreleased Pinion was Pattons first effort scoring a film. Faith No More has announced they will re-form this year. 2006s Crank introduced freelance hitman Chev Chelios (Jason Statham) who wakes up with a big problem. While Chev was asleep, he was injected with a deadly synthetic drug from China--known as the Beijing Cocktail as payback for his last hit. Chev's only hope to stay alive is to keep his adrenalin pumping, while keeping his girlfriend, out of the mob's hands. Luckily, Doc Miles offers some temporary lifesaving advice; his drugged pal has to keep moving. Downing cans of Red Bull and popping over-the-counter energy pills. Chev is a crazed man on a mission. He has to exact revenge, save his girlfriend, and find an antidote, all while keeping his slowing heart pumping. In CRANK: HIGH VOLTAGE, the high-octane sequel, Chelios launches himself on an electrifying chase through Los Angeles in pursuit of the Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart and replaced it with a battery-powered ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity to keep working. Reprising their roles from the 2006 original are Amy Smart as Eve, Dwight Yoakum as Doc Miles, and Efren Ramirez as Venus. Rounding out the cast are Clifton Collins Jr. and Bai Ling. CRANK: HIGH VOLTAGE is written and directed by Neveldine/Taylor, the duo behind the 2006 hit film Crank, and the upcoming Game starring Gerard Butler. HEROES SOUNDTRACK (April 2, 2009- Burbank, CA) – First they saved the cheerleader and saved the world. Now the Heroes have another assignment – this time on CD. La-La Land Records will release the original score album on April 7, 2009 via their website www.lalalandrecords.com and in stores April 21. Wendy and Lisa (Soul Food, Crossing Jordan) composed the original score. La-La Land Records is releasing the "Heroes" score album through a license agreement with NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music and Consumer Products Group. In 2006, audiences were intrigued by six words … “save the cheerleader, save the world.” The first season of Heroes featured ordinary people with extraordinary powers. The cop who can hear your thoughts, the flying nurse, the drug addict who could see the future, and the Japanese man appropriately named Hiro who could bend time and space were amongst those whose mission became saving the cheerleader. Each character is drawn into the ‘Company’s’ conspiracy to control these super-powered people . The “Heroes” original score album features ten powerful tracks, including the “Heroes” title and the memorable “Fire & Regeneration” theme. Each of the additional tracks is built around one of the heroes, and carries the instrumentals and rhythms that are particular to that character – such as the heroic, strong cello sounds for “Peter Petrelli” (Milo Ventimiglia) and the dreamy instrumentals of the fire and regeneration cue for “Claire Bennet” (Hayden Panettiere). The last two tracks on the album, “Kirby Plaza” and “Fire & Regeneration,” are sure to evoke familiar scenes for the listener. “Kirby Plaza” is the final, fiery conclusion to Season I, when “Peter Petrelli” (Milo Ventimiglia) explodes over New York City. “Fire and Regeneration” is the recurring theme for “Claire Bennet” (Hayden Penettiere) and according to Wendy and Lisa, is “…hands down the very favorite among fans.” They consider it to be “the sound of Heroes – the cue that gave us the direction for the series.” The entire track listing is below. Childhood friends Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman each grew up in musical families. Lisa joined Prince’s touring band in 1980. She recommended Wendy when another player left the group in 1983. Prince agreed and they began working on Purple Rain. The film and album were both smash hits and Prince’s touring band was renamed The Revolution. Wendy and Lisa worked with Prince on the follow-up albums Parade and Under the Cherry Moon. In 1986 The Revolution was dissolved. Wendy and Lisa released their first self-titled album in 1987, and have continued to record as a duo. In the mid-90s they began working on several film projects, and have regularly contributed scores to numerous television series including Crossing Jordan, Bionic Woman, and Heroes. Wendy and Lisa earned the prestigious ASCAP award for Composer’s of the Year for their work on Dangerous Minds, the theme to HBO’s Carnivale, Crossing Jordan and Heroes. “Sometimes it feels more like being in a band together than your typical composer/producer relationship,” describes Executive Producer/Director Allan Arkush. “Every episode is done from scratch. Every cue meticulously crafted and composed to compliment each scene and story arc. During spotting sessions, Lisa writes many, many notes and impressions in little notebooks that she fills with her own very personal reactions to the episodes.” He continues, “Wendy, when she’s not talking back to the screen, gives opinions, lots of them, and often asks that a scene be run again but without the temp music. She wants to see the work without any music telling her what to feel. We need their honest reaction to each episode. That reaction is translated into the music that is such an important part of the Heroes experience for you people watching at home.” Heroes airs Monday nights on NBC. The original score album will be available exclusively from www.lalalandrecords.com on April 7th and available both digitally and in stores on April 21, 2009. Track Listing 1. Heroes Title* 2. Peter* 3. Claire 4. Hiro 5. HRG* 6. Mohinder 7. Sylar* 8. Jessica/Niki/Gina 9. Kirby Plaza* 10. Fire and Regeneration* * features the voice of Shenkar About Heroes From creator/writer Tim Kring ("Crossing Jordan") the epic drama chronicles the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. On February 2, "Heroes" continued its third season with a brand-new volume -- "Fugitives." In the latest installment, the Heroes are the targets of a government conspiracy to capture those with abilities, led by one of their own. "Heroes," the worldwide, multi-platform success now in its’ third season is currently licensed to more than 200 territories. The show has received numerous accolades, including the 2009 People’s Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy show and a SAG Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series. THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT (March 10, 2009- Burbank, CA) Masters of horror Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham revisit their landmark film which launched Cravens directing career and influenced decades of horror to come: The Last House On The Left. Composer John Murphy (28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Sunshine) wrote the original score, which will be released by La-La Land Records on April 7, 2009 via their website www.lalalandrecords.com and in stores April 14. John Murphy is a prominent British film composer from the city of Liverpool. He began composing music for films in the 90s, working on several successful British movies like Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. Murphy relocated to Los Angeles and has produced several prominent and diverse compositions for 28 Days Later, Miami Vice, Sunshine and 28 Weeks later. Awards for his film music include the Silver Award (1st Prize) at Cannes, British D & AD Award, and John has been nominated for an Ivor Novello, an RTS Award, and the Brit Award for Best Soundtrack. He has also composed and produced music for commercials, including campaigns for Reebok, Nike and Apple. Bringing one of the most notorious thrillers of all time to a new generation, Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham produce the story that explores how far two ordinary people will go to exact revenge on the sociopaths who harmed their child. The night she arrives at the remote Collingwood lake house, Mari (Sara Paxton) and her friend are kidnapped by a prison escapee and his crew. Terrified and left for dead, Maris only hope is to make it back to her parents John and Emma (Tony Goldwyn and Monica Potter). Unfortunately, her attackers unknowingly seek shelter at the one place she could be safe. And when her family learns the horrifying story, they will make three strangers curse the day they came to the last house on the left. John Murphys ethereal and haunting and sinuous score fit The Last House On The Left like a perfectly tailored glove, said Producer Wes Craven. Director Dennis Iliadis agrees, With his score, John gave this movie a beauty and emotional depth I could only dream of. Together, we set a challenge: to keep fighting the obvious; let beauty and emotion shine through even in the darkest moments. Murphy describes his first meeting with Iliadis, he showed me some scenes from the film. I was blown away. It was as beautiful as it was shocking. It had these two extremes going which I love to work with. Beauty and dread. So we did it. Rogue Pictures presents The Last House On The Left in theaters on March 13, 2009. The original soundtrack will be available exclusively at www.lalalandrecords.com on April 7th and in stores on April 14th.

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA COMPOSER BEAR MCCREARY TO RELEASE TWO RECORDINGS AND ANNOUNCES LOS ANGELES AND COMIC CON CONCERTS Taiko Drums To Start Summer With A Bang -- SO SAY WE ALL!!! (May 27, 2009- Burbank, CA) – Battlestar Galactica and Caprica composer Bear McCreary will have a busy summer, with the release of two soundtrack recordings and concert performances. On June 13 the music from Battlestar Galactica will kick-off the 2009 Grand Performances Series at California Plaza. Three days later, on June 16, La-La Land Records will release the soundtrack for Caprica. Bear McCreary will again conduct the music from Battlestar Galactica for three nights at the House of Blues in San Diego from July 23-25th – during Comic Con! The concerts will celebrate the July 21 release of a special 2-CD set, Battlestar Galactica: Season 4. Battlestar Galactica began as an original SCI FI Channel mini-series in 2003. Billions of human lives were consumed by nuclear fires as the Cylons, intelligent robots created by man, rebelled against their makers. A small, rag-tag fleet of survivors escaped and fled into the outer reaches of the universe in search of the mythical, lost "13th colony" — Earth. The SCI FI series celebrated its finale in March of 2009, having received boundless critical acclaim and awards, including the prestigious Peabody Award as well as special recognition from the United Nations. A few weeks later, the prequel Caprica, set 50 years before the events of Battlestar Galactica, was released on DVD by Universal Home Entertainment. Caprica will begin airing in early 2010 on the SCI FI Channel. The series chronicles an astonishing scientific breakthrough taking shape on the planet Caprica. The rapidly evolving spheres of human and mechanical engineering have collided, along with the fates of two families. Joined by tragedy in an explosive instant of terror, two rival clans led by powerful patriarchs, Joseph Adama (Esai Morales) and Daniel Graystone (Eric Stoltz) duel in an era of questionable ethics, corporate machinations and unbridled personal ambition as the final war for humanity looms. On June 16, 2009 La-La Land Records will release the soundtrack for Caprica, composed by Bear McCreary, one of the top young composers working in Hollywood. His work on the television series Battlestar Galactica has been described as offering “some of the most innovative music on TV today,” by Variety, and his blog www.bearmccreary.com/blog, which features in-depth inside looks at the process of scoring Battlestar Galactica, was called "one of the best blogs in the business. It's a fascinating look at the process of making music for film and television and the care he takes with aligning the score with the twists and turns of each character's plot lines," by The Hollywood Reporter. Bear McCreary’s feature film credits include Wrong Turn 2 and the Rest Stop films. MUTANT CHRONICLES From the composer of Jake Wests cult debut Razor Blade Smile, the martial arts smash hit Ong-bak and the hit BBC3 TV series Being Human, comes an intense contemporary orchestral action score. The Mutant Chronicles tells the story of the last mission of the only surviving humans on earth, a hopeless task which ends in bloody failure against an army of Mutants. The visual backdrop of muddy trenches and huge WW1 style weaponry is aided by the Richard Wells music. Reflecting the ever increasing futility of the mission, the score starts with a haunting melody in the trenches before the mission begins and then becomes ever more discordant as the survivors die one by one until the final violent act, accompanied by a dreadful dissonant cacophony. Richard began his professional music career as a programmer, keyboard player and engineer, and his credits include work on tracks by Dominic King (My Simple Heart), Jon Moss (Culture Club), Talk Talk and Clan of Xymox. Richard's break into films came in 1998 and in 2002 he started writing music for film trailers, including The Grudge, Seven Swords and Infernal Affairs. After scoring the teaser for Simon Hunter, Richard was asked to write a full orchestral score for the major feature film Mutant Chronicles. More recently, Richard scored the hit TV series Being Human and the Jake West comedy/horror film Doghouse. TRACK LISTING 1. Take Off (4.05) 2. The Night Before (1.36) 3. Mutant Attack (4.28) 4. THE INFORMERS ORIGINAL SCORE (June 8 2009- Los Angeles, CA) Lakeshore Records will release the original score for THE INFORMERS, available digitally (iTunes and Amazon Digital) and in stores on June 23, 2009. Christopher Young (The Uninvited, Untraceable) composed the music. The label released the original soundtrack on April 28th. Golden Globe-nominated composer Christopher Young has scored almost 100 successful features ranging across virtually every genre, all with strikingly original music. Never repeating himself, Youngs works extend from the spine-tingling Hellraiser showcasing his seminal upbringing in horror; to the new-techno sound of Swordfish and the resonant, genuine Celtic sounds of The Shipping News. With each successive Christopher Young crafted score, the composer continually stretches the bounds of his versatility. Young has worked with some of the top filmmakers of the past ten years including Norman Jewison (The Hurricane and Bandits), Sam Raimi (The Gift, Spiderman 3, The Grudge and The Grudge 2) and Curtis Hanson (Lucky You, Wonder Boys). In addition to his busy film-composing schedule, Young is imparting his experience and knowledge to a new generation of film composers, teaching at USC since the early nineties. He is a two-term past president of The Film Music Society and the president of the Madrid Film Music Festival in Spain. In such works as Less Than Zero and American Psycho Brett Easton Ellis brilliantly dissects contemporary American society, a culture in which too much is never enough. Now, adapting his own acclaimed novel for the screen, he returns to the Los Angeles of the early 1980's with a multi-strand narrative that deftly balances a vast array of characters who represent both the top of the heap (a Hollywood dream merchant, a dissolute rock star, an aging newscaster) and the bottom (a voyeuristic doorman, an amoral ex-con). Connecting all his intertwining strands are the quintessential Ellis protagonists -- a group of beautiful, blonde young men and women who sleep all day and party all night, doing drugs -- and one another -- with abandon, never realizing that they are dancing on the edge of a volcano. Filmed with uncommon glamour and grit by acclaimed Australian director Gregor Jordan (Ned Kelly, Buffalo Soldiers), The Informers is an alternately blistering and chilling portrait of hedonism run amuck The film stars Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Mickey Rourke, Winona Ryder, Jon Foster and Amber Heard. Senator Entertainment presents THE INFORMERS released in select theaters on April 24, 2009. THE INFORMERS original score album on Lakeshore Records will be available via iTunes, Amazon Digital and in stores on June 23, 2009. THE INFORMERS original soundtrack is available digitally and in stores now.
